Jan Skowronski is a qualified German and European patent attorney as well as European trademark and design attorney.
His main activities are drafting and prosecuting of German and European patent applications, in particular in the fields of digital signal processing, telecommunications, electronics and automotive technologies. In addition, he is assisting his clients in opposition procedures and nullity actions to invalidate patents.
During his professional career Jan Skowronski has gained 15 years experience in the telecommunication industry. During his career he managed technical services and experts departments of Siemens AG, responsible for designing, building and maintaining fixed and mobile communication networks, among others UMTS networks.
Jan Skowronski graduated from University of Karlsruhe in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. After three years of research work in the field of signal processing, notably signal compression, at the national French research institute CNRS, he was awarded a doctorate with honors in electrical engineering from Paris University. In addition, he graduated in Business Administration from Hagen University.
Jan Skowronski speaks fluently German, English and French. He is married and has three children.
